The XXV Cable and Broadband Congress in Catalonia-2021, on June 7!

The growth of the interactive audiovisual offer, led by HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband Television), and the need for broadband will focus the contents of the XXV Cable and Broadband Congress in Catalonia-2021, which will be carried out in a face-to-face and virtual on June 7, organized by the Center for Cable Studies (CECABLE), Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University, the Official College of Telecommunications Technical Engineers of Catalonia (COETTC) and the Catalan Federation of Telecommunications Installers (Feceminte) in the Blanquerna Auditorium of the Ramon Llull University, in the center of Barcelona. “Companies and users in the home environment are increasingly requesting guaranteed broadband, which can support intensive demands and interactive services,” says the director of CECABLE and professor at the University, Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón.

The event, which will feature numerous conferences from companies and entities, is part of the project “New Forms of Interactive Advertising on Television, Internet and Digital Media. Real Applications in HbbTV” (ITADTV, URL, Cellnex and CECABLE), financed by the Ministry of Economy and Business. The Congress analyzes strategic parameters of telecommunications: the evolution of fixed and mobile broadband networks, changes in content and the effects of market standards, especially in HbbTV and 5G.
