Professor Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón wins his fifth Six-Year Research Grant
Professor Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón has been awarded his fifth six-year research grant (2019-2024, AQU) and consolidates his position as a leader and benchmark in the field.
Thanks to his prolific research activity, Fondevila, President of the Catalan Society of Communication-Institute of Catalan Studies (SCC-IEC) and Director of the Center for Cable Studies (CECABLE), is achieving spectacular global milestones. With over two hundred indexed scientific articles published (in addition to numerous books, book chapters, and conference papers), more than 3,900 citations received, an H-index of 30, and an H10-index of 95, Fondevila is achieving academic and scientific records, especially considering that he teaches numerous courses at various universities (he teaches between five and ten times more than most of his peers).
Furthermore, Fondevila leads the ranking of literary awards won since he began writing fiction and poetry, and he also leads the rankings for scientific blogs (thanks to the multi-award-winning Telecommunications and Journalism blog) and sports blogs (Terrassa FC News blog).
